Hi and I belive will be will doing a 13. My question is how many months of a bank statement do they want and if I gave a wedding gift in check form will the trustee ask me to ask them for that back? What documentation does the trustee ask for and how many months do they go back?

Typically, you have to bring the bank statement that includes the day you filed, to your 341 meeting. This way they can compare it to what was listed in Schedule B, so if you put that you only had $50 in your account, and the balance shows $1000 the day you filed, you will need to do some explaining.
In regards to the "wedding gift", it is important that you list everything, what they are looking for in that question, is if you "gifted" a boat, or a car, or a some land, to someone. This is to prevent the hiding of assets via that method.

Have at least six months of pay proof available. Your attorney will probably ask for that many. Last three years of income tax returns. On the gift, it depends on the amount. If in doubt, give a gift visa card (prepaid) or a money order. Purchase only exempt stuff and no luxury toys. (wide screen tv's and stuff like that.) You will be fine.
