      To the original poster:

Have you got a second medical opinion?
      Do you have witnesses?
Did you report the incident at the casino before you left?
Do you have medical insurance that will cover this injury?

As for your pain: It sounds serious. The knees suport a tremendous amount of weight. The only part of the body that I would say would have more effect on a person if injured, is the arch area of the foot.

What I would do is try to find a lawyer who will take the case. I am in the process of trying to find one, but in my case it is for medical malpractise which seems to be harder to prove in my State.
Let your bankruptcy lawyer know what is going on and if you do get a settlement, make sure you let your lawyer know about it (preferably in writing).
Your main goal is to get over the bankrutcy while at the same time trying to recover from the injury.

Contact you attorney who will be handling your bankruptcy and find out how a lawsuit will affect your filing. Some states proceeds from lawsuits are exempt, some states there not. Laws vary from state to state and case to case.

Whether you file a personal injury lawsuit is your choice and does not need the approval or opinion of anyone on this forum.

Folks, remember personal attacks on individuals on this forum will not be tolerated.

This thread is going no-where so it is CLOSED.

My suggestions are from "personal experience" and research only. Do not consider this as legal advice. Each bankruptcy case is different.
