    Am I screwed?

    Hi all,
    Made an August Truck payment on vehicle thats going into ch 13 plan.
    Attorney told us not to, but we are creatures of habit and forgot and made the payment.
    Will this be ok? Im calling attorney first thing tomorrow but am stressing now.
    Should we stop payment on check?
    Making this payment means we are not going to be able to pay something else.

    Call your attorney. The truck payment is probably going to be included in the chap 13 plan and that might be why he did not want you to make the payment. Relax. Call your attorney Monday morning and you will be fine. Good luck with everything!

      Yes, the truck payment was to be included.

        Have you actually filed yet? Our attorney told us we could make one last payment but we chose not to because we needed that money for our 1st month's bk payment.

          We are scheduled to file this Wednesday. Attorney told us not to make August payment because truck was going into plan and we could use the money for something else.

            There is nothing to worry about. You really can't be faulted for "making" a payment. And honestly, I wouldn't even bother calling your attorney. This is a non-issue.

            However, what else will you not be able to pay because you made this payment?

                  You are right to ask the boards advice so that you get an idea but I would call your attorney anyway to confirm things.

                  You are paying him for his advice so go and get it so you can ease your mind.

                  I had a TWO hour meeting with my attorney on Thursday morning going over some complex issues on mine. I make my attorney work for his money.

                  I made a transaction last week and cleared it with him first. I followed his instructions and now I am not worried.

                  If I have a question, he gets a call. I also help him though by staying organized and researching issues.

                  That is the best way in my opinion.
