    question about closing business

Hi, I retained an attorney finally. Unfortuantely my business is way to expensive to keep up. I am seriously thinking about closing it. It is just a small business that requires a business vehicle and the problem is I am always having to repair the vehicle now and with no credit cards, i cant afford to do it anymore. If i close it out, will they go by my income that i made in the last 6 months or even year to date? Would i have to wait so many months now to actually file? I dont know what to do at this point. Thank you!!!!

The look back period is 6 months, period. If your income is changing, you would need to wait 6 months from that change to file if you need it to relfect for your case.

What kind of debt do you have? Business or personal? If you can show that your debt more than 50% business debt, you should not have to worry about the means test. There is a poster on here named southernbelle who closed a business and did a non-consumer chapter 7. Maybe you can search her posts.
