    Do I need to...

...inform my attorney or my trustee of opening a new checking account? My current checking account has ridiculous restrictions and a $10 a month fee. I am trying to find more ways to cut costs...
Disclaimer: Young, NOT Dumb.(._.) The plan: $480 monthly for 60 months at 100%. 07/12/08
    Motion to Discharge: FILED!! 08/07/13

I don't see that you need to inform them of a new checking account as it doesn't represent a line of credit or increase in income.

In fact, even though I doubt any trustee would bother - switching from a $10/month fee checking account to a no-fee account (I assume) could increase your monthly payment by $10! Crazy if that would happen.

We informed our trustee when we dumped our safe deposit box because the yearly fees for it had gotten out of hand, but I don't think we really needed to. I don't think your trustee will care that much either. Now, I'm a 7, not a 13, but from what I read, they are more concerned with you keeping up with your monthly payments and keeping them on time.
