i am still having a hard time figuring out pacer. i checked my court status by my SS#. aLL it said was when i filed and my account info. Noting about status of case. i dont want to do a bunch of searches and get charged. So far i get a page telling me the amount charged if i llook at case i downloaded file and nothing there. Am i doing this right? can it be my case is that simple?

Dear 'broke', here is my suggestion. On one of the pasties is a whole lesson on PACER. I would advise for ONE time to look at all. Mostly they are pdf files so save to your hard drive for future reference. Rename them by number so you know.
I won't cost you much at first but looking over and over again is still .08 cents. I wish I could tell you more, but the pasty is there for a reason. You are not the first to ask.
