My lawyer filed our Ch13 on Monday. It is actually a relief. I was wondering- how long will it take the creditors to be notified and how long will it take them to stop calling? That will be an even bigger relief.

Have you been answering the calls and giving them your lawyers information? I have not even filed yet and my phone is very quiet... I callled each and told them that we were filing and gave them my lawyers contact info for anything else and it stopped all the calls. -
Congrats on filing! It should take only a few days for your creditors to be notified of your filing. If I were you, I would defer all calls to your attorney.May 2008 Hired 1st Attorney/Stopped paying CCs

If you get any calls in the meantime, simply give them your case # and you will be so shocked at how quickly they get off the phone with you.
You are right........it's a huge sense of relief. A BIG weight has been lifted off your shoulders. I remember that well!
