Received in the mail the discharge papers from the judge. Thanks for all the help and advice over the last three and a half years. It is tough, but it can be done.
If I knew it all, would I be here??Hang in there = Retained attorney 8-06, Filed 12-28-07, Discharge 8-13-08, Finally CLOSED 11-3-09, 3-31-10 AP Dismissed, Informed by incompetent lawyer of CLOSED status, October 14, 2010.
I love those words "Discharged" LOL also, "closed" is a favorite as well. I am in your camp. Got my letter the other day to "suspend" payments and my discharge is "recommended" so hopefully in January, those magic wonderful words will appear for me also. Congratulations!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It was 3 1/2 years since I filed. We were confirmed for 37 months, then the IRS filed a claim for taxes we didn't even know that we owed and it was extended to 39 months. Made last payment in August, got the stop pay order in September, got recommendation to discharge in October and then discharged on 11/23. Never had one problem during my 13, never heard a peep from trustee either. If I had a question I called and always got an answer right away. I was southern district ohio.
