I thought the payment plan does not kick in until court approves it (6 month after file?) - so it starts right as soon as you file? Thanks.

When my Ch 13 was filed, my first payment was due within 30 days of the filing. Once my plan was confirmed, which was about 90 days after filing, that's when my employer was notified to start withholding the plan payments. I was responsible for mailing them in until my employer starting withholding.
