refi after chapter 13

HELP!! Our chapter 13 will be discharged in 1 month.....We have been talking to our local banks....not applying but just going in to see what info we will need later....no one will help us. They say we have to wait at least 2 years to refi??? Is this true?? Our payments have been made (thru the trustee over the last 5 yrs) we owe only half of what our house is worth...that is all we want to refi...so lots of equity..Any suggestions?? (We live in PA)

check out lenders in your area who handle FHA refi's. With a chapter 13, you should be able to refi the day after discharge with FHA.
