Thanks for your answer. So if they file a claim, it doesn't mean our payment would change or anything like that?
Sorry to sound repetitive, just very nervous about this whole thing.
    thanks again.

No YOUR payment doesn't change. Theirs gets smaller with the more that file claims. I suspect some don't file because if you owe too much they won't get much back so it is not worth it to them.

LOL! Just checked Pacer and all that had filed claims... First one to file a claim... (wait for it)... Discover!

Well, BoA never filed a claim in our case which totally shocked me. Neither did Citibank. Also, the electric company did not file for our old account, and none of our hospital creditors file their claims either.

My car financed with Honda Financed didn't file a claim. I have two cards with over 7k each on both thru USAA and they didn't file. Those were the big ones for me that didn't. I have a bunch of small loans locally and they all filed. The time is up so no one can file a claim.

Nothing happens, until there is money to be distributed. If they claim they can get a piece, either full payment (secured claim, roughly speaking) or prorated (unsecured claim).
    No claim, no payment.

All of mine filed claims. Most though filed claims right away. Some where sent to junk debt buyers so I assume it took them a while to get the paperwork to the correct place.

All of my various creditors filed claims, with the notable exception of most of my Citi card accounts.

No one can say who will or who will not file a claim. Expect all of them to file as that is most always the situation in today's economy.
