I called my attorney a few days ago to find about my case as well (I entered in 12/29/06). I checked the 13datacenter and my status is Z- about to close. My attorney said this looks like the last month and I had to wait for a letter from the Trustee. So I got the Trustee's phone number and called them Friday. They said I had to have my attorney request a payoff. The girl put me on hold and came back and said my Chapter 13 had ended and that they would send a letter to my attorney, and to the court, and send a letter to my Employer to stop my wage garnishment. I was so happy I called my attorney to see if they could verify the info I was given. They told me that they have received a case number which means the 13 is now over and I should receive a letter within 2 weeks confirming that. What I wanted to know is what does that balance on hand means? Will I get that back? It is $2690.00 and they just took out another $415.30 out of my check yesterday. I am in Charlotte N.C any info would be helpful.
