Received a Completion Letter from the Trustee
Now, finally some progress and response from the trustee. I received a letter dated 10-7 congratulating me on completing the Chapter 13. Only 61 months after I started my "supposed" 48 month program. It told me to start picking up a new payment bood for the mortgage and start payments in November, notify the Credit Bureaus, and what caught my attention is I will need to wait "at least 90 days" for the Trustee's Final Report and the formal accounting for a possible subsequent final discharge.
The other thing is I have to wait that period of time to get my $17K they are sitting on, apply for credit (as in a loan for a more reliable car), stop any garnishment (I already fixed that in May of this year). Geeze, it is almost like working for the government, hurry up and wait. Doesn't anybody ever use anything other than form letters these days? I suppose that I should be happy that there is at least the glimmer of light at the end of the tunnel.
