If you adjust your withholdings to allow for more take home pay, unless it is a sizeable amount of extra income, the Trustee will not bother it...... If it is, then he's going to get it anyways in a tax refund or income increase by changing your withholdings.

Really its a no win situation...... if he wants it, he'll get it......

My suggestions are from "personal experience" and research only. Do not consider this as legal advice. Each bankruptcy case is different.

Checked today to see if my tax refund has been distributed yet. And it has, every bit of it. It paid off my lawyer fees, and took a nice chunk out of my secured debt. I feel much more relieved now just seeing my secured debts being paid on. Also, I guess sending in $2600 extra allowed for more to go to my unsecured creditors. Was paying 10%, now shows 19%.

I still would adjust my withholdings, probably 2 extra for federal and two for state. See how much extra that puts on your check.

How often does a Chapter 13 Trustee pay him or herself?

According to our schedule, the disbursements to the creditor were made each month on the last day, and the trustee got a payment himself each time. So, once a month.
