    Just a little levity...

We haven't filed yet...can't take off work for four more weeks...but haven't paid CC in two months.

We have two Discover cards totaling about 15K. I got a hateful letter from them two weeks ago to send them our cut up cards. Didn't do it, tho. Anyway, yesterday we get an offer in the mail for a home equity line of credit for up to $125K from....our good friends at Discover card. Just made me chuckle a little bit.

Last week it was $65K from Chase...who we owe about 32K.

What's wrong with this picture? You can't tell me these companies aren't loan sharks. Remember, people! Elections are coming up, don't vote for those who helped the creditors with the "new, improved" bankrupcty laws.

Yep, they want your home, and if they get you to bite on a HELOC, they are "protected". MBNA offered me the same deal about 4 months ago. Guess when they pulled up my credit card bills they knew more than me. When they called offering to put everything over on a HELOC, I said send me the information and I would look it over. I didn't bite on the hook, but don't think they will go hungary.

We are rolling up on missed payment # 5 on our house, and our Lender keeps offering us HELOC's and Home Equity Loans so we can pay off the deficit amounts we owe. It's unreal!!

Unreal it is! I was getting calls daily from Chase and yet they would send me preapproval credit in the mail. Does the right hand know what the left is doing. LOL!!!!

I don't think one hand knows what the other is doing. I'm still getting credit card bills from them (Chase and Citi). You would think a company there size would have this BK thing down.
