    Cash for Rent

I rent a room to someone and he gives me cash. Does this have to be included with income? It's only temparary and hate it to be included in any figures. Should I at least let lawyer know, will be seeng first one tonight. Or just make like he's not there or he pays me nothing.

It's always best to be honest with your lawyer. You don't want anything to come back and bight you in the rear. Is there a paper trail, or strictly cash?

Just cash. never a check. I can say he supplies some food, which he does. But nothing to indicate he pays me anything.

Honesty is the best thing with your attorney. When we filed on CH7, my wife makes $600 a month under the table for an association she is the secretary for. I asked our attorney about it and he said as long as there is no paper trail (checks deposited, any unusual deposits that the trustee can question), we would be good and not to include it. I hope this helps...again, definitely check with your attorney.
