    huge swing in credit scores!

    Hello all!
My hubby and I are six-months into a 36-months CH13. My mortage and 2nd mortgage are not included in the BK and are paid outside of the plan. I have a credit manager plan with Experian -- one of those where you pay $9.95/month and you get unlimited Credit reports and credit scores.
Using Experian, my credit score is 629.
However, today I checked my Equifax score and it was 461!!!!
How could there be that much of a difference in credit scores?
Equifax still shows many of the creditors being in a chargeoff/late status instead of included in BK -- would it help to start disputing these to make them say "included in BK" at this point in our BK?
    Thanks for any input!

Yep! You need to dispute the inaccurate reporting on your Credit Reports.

Get those cleaned up and you should see a big change in scores. Upward, I would hope.

Annie, yes you need to start disputing them as soon as possible. Your far enough along in the plan that they should be reporting correctly. I jumped the gun a little and started disputing while the credit report was still in "flux" so to speak. While I did get a couple things fixed, most of them were fixed on the report before the stamp got licked.

One thing to note, Check and see if your Experian score is a "Plus Credit Score". I find this "plus" score to be about 80-100 points above your actual credit score. If you ever get a 3-1 credit report from say truecredit.com you will see what your actual experien score is.

I actually have one credit bureau giving me a score of 689 right now. The bk is on the report, but most of the accounts are showing closed, and paid. Those mistakes I'll not fix!!!
