This year the IRS kept a 1500 return (didnt do this last year....). Anyway, it looks like we will have paid an overage to back child support of 1000 if the DSSS doesn't submit an updated claim (not even sure they could..). Anyway, we had to submit the original claim via our Attorney as they didn't. Now to the question, does anyone know how overpayments for back child support are handled in CA when they are received payments by the trustee? I would rather the trustee overpay and CA give it back to us than the money go to creditors...since we would have been able to keep the refund in the first place if it hadn't been intercepted.
