Have not posted since I filed in March 2009, so here is my question..... When does a 60 month plan start counting? From my file date(March 27,2012) or my confirmation date(August 1,2012)? I made my first payment to the trustee's office at the end of March 2009. Thanks!

It depends on the district. I believe Michigan counts from confirmation.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but for Michigan it is 60 months from date of confirmation. How do I know? Well I live in Michigan. I filed in March of 2007 and wasn't confirmed until August 2007. The 60 month clock didn't start clicking until August. I just made my last payment this month in a 60 month plan even though I made 65 monthly payments.
