Spouse buying a car when not included in a chapter 13
I have filed for chapter 13 by myself.My spouse is not filing.She is wanting to purchase a used vehicle.My question is: Can she do this since she is not filing with me.I didn't want it to affect my filing.Any info is appreciated.

We just went through the same thing. My husband changed jobs and was given a $600 month car allowance. He had a company car with the other job. Lawyer told me since I wasn't on the plan that it was okay for me to secure the car. My situation might be a little different because the car allowance is exempt for being considered disposable income.
