How is everyone's Chap 13 going?

I was just wondering if everyone else's is working out for them? It seems we are just as bad off since we filed. We started our process in Jan. Attorney didn't file until Mar. 17. We were told after our budget we would have to pay 141 a month only to catch up taxes, the house and car. And lets not forget the attorney fees. All of the unsecured debt gets zero. We went to our 341 meeting on April 20. Seems it went fine. Now we have to return back to court on June 5. Seems the mortgage co. wants more money. When the attorney did the budget they figured in my husbands overtime. Now the overtime is disappearing. Also they didn't give much of an allowance for gas, food, and clothing. DH drives 90 miles a day back and forth to work. Know it seems all of the extras want to go at once. Here it is the last week of May and we still owe the house payment and car payment. The one vehicle we had to buy an alternator for last week. The work car broke down would be more to fix then what it is worth. (89 olds with 180,000 miles). Even if we got a differnt vehicle we don't have any extra for another car payment. The lawnmower doesn't want to work have bought everything I can think of and still doesn't want to stay running. The refrigerator is making alot of noise and doesn't want to cool as well. The wheel fell off of the vaccum cleaner and the handle doesn't want to stay on very well. About a month ago I twisted my ankle and it is still bothering me. Haven't went to the doctor cause I know they are going to want to do surgery and we can't afford the co pays. Not only that our son has his 13th birthday tomorrow and the other one is in 3 weeks.

We can't do a chap 7 cause we did that in 01 and they say it is too soon. What happens if you can't make it through your plan. I thought this was to help you get on your feet but it seems we are still sinking.

I was wondering once they set the plan to what you pay can they change it anytime during the 5 years. Lets say after you have been paying for a year and you have a change in income and they figured you at paying unsecured at 0 can they change that and make you pay so much of that back. I ask because I currently don't work and attending school.

I am so sorry I have wrote so much I guess with everything going on I am venting. Thanks for taking the time to read. You all are so great on here.

If you have had a change in income, or something else thats major like that,
you can apply for an amended plan. Talk to your attorney before you get farther behind, would be my suggestion. I hope it all works out for you.

Yes, please talk to your attorney! I am so sorry that everything is piling up on you at once. Our 13 is going pretty well so far, but DH got a promotion and raise a couple of months ago. We have been able to save a little here and there. Also, my family has been wonderful!! We don't ask them for anything anymore, but they are helping with a few extra groceries here and there, treating us to lunch/dinner, etc. I think they see us really trying hard to do the right things.

I know it is especially hard with teenagers. Our son wants a car desperately, but isn't going to die because he doesn't have one right now. It is also tough when you have medical expenses. I have a chronic illness which is a royal pain, especially in the summer when it is 95 degrees and the heat index is 115! I'm learning to be up front with my providers and they have been great.

Please feel free to PM me anytime you just need to vent. We will get through this somehow, someway.

Hang in there and God bless!
