Tax Question

Hi all. My wife declared chapt 13 bankruptcy about 1.5 years before we got married. I am sure all of you are aware, she has to turn in her tax returns to the trustee every year. My question is, is there any reason that we need or should file separately? I make quite a bit more than my wife and I am somewhat worried if there would be any repercussions of us filing together? I have ran the taxes each way and we will owe money either way, but will be able to deduct more if we file together. Thank you.

Just wanting to bump this. I guess this is a somewhat rare situation, but would be interested what everyone thinks? She has tried contacting her attorney about this, but he is somewhat worthless and rarely answers or responds to calls.
