When I filed in 2008, it was with a retainer of $500 and a total cost to attorney of $3500.. This included both credit/financial courses (through Hummingbird) and my final motion for discharge. I paid around $2000 to my trustee over the course of my plan. As JustBroke stated, it depends entirely on the complexity of the case. I think that my modification cost around $300 also. That was hard.
