    Court

Ok I am being sued the PreTrial Conference is set for the end of July with Trial at the end of August. I am still trying to pay the attorney to file 13 $974 to go and don't think I will get it paid for by the end of July. Should I attend the PreTrial Conference. I told the court I had retained an attorney for Bankruptcy and they told me if I didn't want to go that was fine but of course would be defaulted.

What does it matter if they get their default judgement?

The moment you file the bankruptcy it does them no good to have it?

I'd attend just to make sure you know exactly what is going on in your case. When I went to court for a judgement, we were asked if the lawyers had ever contacted us personally about a payment plan. Since most of us hadn't, the judge was really mad at them and therefore had us work-out and set-up payment plans on our own instead of garnishing wages.
*** THIS IS NOT LEGAL ADVICE--ONLY A LAWYER CAN PROVIDE THAT. ***

My posts represent hours of research on and off the web, these forums, my experience, and my opinions.

I guess it won't matter if I have a default or not. I had an attorney for this case and he told me it didn't matter what I did. He knows the judge and was sure he wouldn't set up a payment plan since I have tried to settle with him. Any one know anything about child support??? I receive this but not on a consistent basis, if I start receiving on a consistent basis should I report? And what is considered consistent? Thanks. Can't wait to get this paid off and filed.
