    Filed 7, questions about 13

My friend filed chp 13 because she has a house and the house is the bulk of her payment.

    1. Do you need permission to sell your home and if so does the trustee want a certain price set (considering the market for sellers isn't that great)

    2. If the home was the bulk of the 13 except for a couple hundred dollars will this end the 13 or will it continue?

Just trying to help a friend because I have no clue how a 13 works. Any input would be helpful.

    Hi,

Yes, chapter 13 debtors need permission from the US Trustee to sell the house in order to receive a discharge; if one sells with-out permission your chapter 13 case will likely be dismissed.

If you are paying back 100% of the plan, than yes, the chapter 13 will end

    Take care,
