If you have any experience in interpreting/finding/fixing errors on your credit report please let me know your opinion. This is all new to me, so if the question is dumb, please just bear with me.
1) I filed 13 in october, but one of my cc shows late payments all the way into November, whereas my main cc (that I owed the most to) stopped showing late payments the month prior to my filing. Should I/can I dispute the late payments or does it even matter?
2) Right now my accounts show "acct invovled in chapt 13" or whatever, when I've been discharged will they still show display this statement or will they simply say "paid and closed" like my other paid off accounts from the past?
3) If you're going to dispute some misinformation do you contact the credit reporting agency or the company that's showing the misinformation (late payment, for example)? And how would you dispute something like this, like if you were going to write a letter what would you say?
If any of these questions can be answered from other threads I'll be glad to check out other posts, but I did try and find some answers on my own before posting.
Thanks!
