    Automatic Bank Deductions

We have in our plan the ability to pay by money order directly to the trustees office. My attorney said that we can contact the trustee and have them do a ACH withdrawal from my checking account every month. Does anyone know how to go about doing this and would it be worthwhile not having to worry about getting a money order every month and mailing it. Or is it peace of mind to know that I am sending it monthly instead of relying on the automatic withdrawl to be done correctly?

Whatever you feel comfortable with, really. I felt better having them take the money directly from my check so I knew it was on autopilot.

Did they ask you at the 341 meeting how you wanted to pay? On my 341 meeting, I had to tell them if I wanted a payroll or checking account deduction. They sent out an order to have it come out of my check.
    Date Filed: 12/19/2004
    341 Meeting: 2/8/2005
    Date Case Confirmed: 7/12/2005
    Closed on Refinance/Chapter 13 Buyout 8/23/06

I have mines deducted as a garnisgemnt, so it is taken out of my pay before I get. I prefer this than having to send it in, so it will not be any problems with mail etc.......the trustee set this up

Supposedly the rate of default is much higher if you don't setup some sort of automatic decuction. I setup payroll deduction before my 341 meeting- my lawyer indicated that would be looked upon favorably by the trustee. (??)
