    Bass & Assoc...again

I know this subject has come up before, but...

I was discharged and closed in June/July of this year. Now I am getting letters and phone calls from them regarding Best Buys. I know most of the items I got from them were just gifts and small stuff that added up. But, I did get a refridgerator in Nov of 2005 when ours crapped out and Best Buys was the only place that I had credit left. It was less than $500 then. I've read that they don't know what exactly you purchased from them and to let them tell you what it is they want. Others have posted to ignore them completely...

Is there anybody who has had personal experience with this? I've been leaning towards ignoring them...to see if they will go away!!

Best Buy tends to fade away...just ignore them. If you get really annoyed, you could contact a consumer attorney that handles violations of FDCPA (Fair Debt Collections Practics Act) but is also familar with violations of the permant stay (of discharge) to bring an action against them.

You need to contact them directly, inform them of the bankrupcty & discharge, and remind them they are in violation of the law to pursue it any further.
