    Help with Pacer

I am not sure if my lawyer filed yet and would like to check Pacer. I already made an account and logged in but have no idea which court, district. How do I find out this information? (besides calling lawyer)

I just ran a Google Search so try this and see if it works.

Enter << your State name >> bankruptcy court into Google.

You should get a hit near the top of the first page for the Bankruptcy Courts in your State. Click on that link. There will be a list of cities associated with each Court.

Many States only have 2. Northern and Southern or Eastern and Western, generally.
    Filed Ch 7 - 09/06
    Discharged - 12/2006
Officially Declared No Asset - 03/2007
    Closed - 04/2007

I am not an attorney. My comments are based on personal experience and research. Always consult an attorney in your area to address concerns related to your particular situation.

All you have to do is log into PACER, click the search link for bankruptcy and due a search by social security number. It will bring up your case. Just be careful how much info you look up, it charges .08 per page. I know it doesn't sound like much, but I have heard many people say they have been charged over $200.00 in PACER fees. Hope this helps.

SSN works. Duh!! Forgot about that.

But your case number won't work if you're in the general BK Court system. I did that. Entered our case number thinking it would be specific to here and it isn't. There are at least a half dozen other filers thru out the country that have the same case number as us. They are all in different States and Courts as well.
