    Cosigner Question...

My mother cosigned for a car, that has since been repossed whick is my biggest reason for filling...
Once, ::Crossesfingers:: I'm discharged I understand that my bk will show on her Credit Report but will this also mean she is now not obligated to pay the remaining balance?
I'm currently making payments to a collection agency to pay off the balance on the car, since I've already filed do I stop making payments?

    Thank you in advance.

If your mother cosigned on the car, the car was repossessed, and presumably sold at auction, and you filed BK.

In short, you won't owe anything, but your Mother could be hit up for the deficiency balance, the difference between the balance owed and what the finance company was able to sell the car for at auction.

I don't know your relationship with your mother, but you kinda screwed her here. [no offense]

And yes, since you have filed, you MUST stop making payments on any account you listed in your BK. [except utilities and any secured debt for which you want to keep the item]
