I am preparing to file BK CH7 and I've purchased the book "How to File Chapter 7 Bankruptcy" as recommended by one of the threads on this site. I really can't afford an attorney, at least in the time frame I have to get this done, and was wondering if anyone knew of a good online preparation site that the documents can be stored and printed when needed. I found this site and it looks good but I need advise from veterans of this BK ordeal to get this thing done as mistake free as possible.

I did not file Pro Se, but I do know a bit about online BK filing services.
One thing you should be aware of is the Court updated several of the Forms effective 10/06. You need to check with this company to see if they are using the latest, updated Forms.
What has been suggested, in the meantime, while websites are still updating their services, is to download the trial version of Best Case software. That's one of the biggies that attnys' offices all over the country use.
Best Case has editable forms you can use to fill out your BK filing. The problem is, when you print the forms, DEMO will be printed in the background across the Forms. But you could use the Best Case program to get your Forms in fileable order, and then transfer the data to your real filing Forms.
Here's a link to the US Court's website for official forms you can download and print out.

I am not an attorney. My comments are based on personal experience and research. Always consult an attorney in your area to address concerns related to your particular situation.

Filing Pro se
Filing Pro se is not as difficult as it may feel. It's like preparing your taxes only you worry more because there are so many areas where you feel you could screw up. It took me 8 hours straight to do all the paperwork after reading for weeks how to do it. But I did it and I did it all right. I wouldn't use a company or anything like that, I mean if you are going to do it yourself then you are the best person you can trust. Besides, I felt in control of the process and knew every piece of information because I had filled out every sheet of paper. So, study as much as you can, check out your local court and ask questions there if you can and use this website as a resource, there are many people here who offer advice, support and good luck.
