About 5 minutes sitting in her office while chasing my 18 month old around at the same time. It was just personal info and estimates of costs of household goods. Only other time pen hit paper for us was our signatures.

It took us about two weeks over a period of time. Our lawyer handed us a fairly thick stack of paperwork and we had about $170,000 of debt spread over a lot of creditors. Plus, we run our own business so documenting our income was a bit involved.

It took me a few days simply because I was too stressed to focus. I guess it should have only taken a couple of hours, if not that much, but I was a chapter 7 with no assets.

A few days for me as well. Since I had been reading here before we went for the consultation, I already had most of our documents ready. It was just a matter of transferring the information from one sheet of paper to another.

Guess I am lucky. I just gave copies of all my CC bills to the lawyer and she entered them on the appropiate forms.

I have 32 pages of paperwork from the attorney who I haven't even seen yet. I have been working on it for just a couple of hours. I think I can finish in two more hours or so after I find some documents she needs. SO, I would say four hours or so.

The paperwork I have consists of things like budget, income documentation, a household inventory, very detailed asset sheets for things that we have that aren't paid off yet, etc...

It took me about 2 weeks to fill everything out (pro-se), I had a gazillion questions. Granted I didn't work on it everyday. Took another month of going over it about a hundred times and finally handed it over.

I filed pro-se, it took between 45-60 minutes to do the complete filing. But thats not including all the research I did leading up to filing time.
