The reaffirmation process

There seems to be a lot of discrepancies when we all talk about reaffirming debts. My CapitalOne reaffirmation went through after the 341 meeting and we never went to court, just signed and faxed everything back and forth and then it was done.

For the others who have gone through BK under the new laws, what did you have to do to reaffirm your debts? Did you have a separate court date? Do you have actual official documents stating the debt was reaffirmed?

I'm anxious to hear how others have gone through this.

Kydiv, we are just now going throught the reaffirment process since our 341 meeting last week. We are having to go to a reaffirment hearing for our second mortgage because they did not fill the paperwork out propertly, or at least that is what I'm getting from it. I'm hoping our lawyer can straighten this and maybe this meeting can be dismissed for we don't need to miss any more work. We haven't received the reaffirments for our car or 1st mortgage yet.
