I hope someone can answer my question. My bk was disharged nearly 3 years ago. Last year when buying a house (don't even get me started on that subject.) 2 leins showed up on the title search that were included in the bk. After going back and forth with the attourneys, i got my house. now a year later, my ex-gf (whom we i owned a home with, signed a quit claim deed years ago, but she lost it and we were not on speaking terms at the time, have since filed a new one 6 months ago) is selling that house a buying a new one. Well, those 2 leins are still there. One has been paid off by the other party of the lein 2 months ago, but the other is still showing up. I called the credit union where the lein is from and they told me they would not release it from the title until it was paid. What do i need to do to have this all taken care of? She is supposed to close on March 10th and she will pay off that lein, but why should she since it was in my name only and it was included in my BK? Please help!!
