If you're up to task, filing the BK petition won't be to difficult to do. A few members here have filed on their own as well, definately hit them up for some pointers. If you're opting to file your BK pro se because of money issues, don't forget about seeking the assistance of a BK paralegal, for preparation assistance!

I completely understand where you are coming from. Go ahead and file for yourself. You need relief now, not when you finish paying a laywer. Borrow the filing fee if you have to and get the relief you need. I did my own BK through this online service that was perfect. I ended up paying a total of $379 to file and get the paperwork done vs. 900 for a laywer and the 200 filing fee.
