I was reading some of his advive and he basically compares filing BK to divorce or death of a loved one.Now I know we have all been through the ringer(we are filing any day now)but from the stories on this board life does go on after BK...He has a counter point for every I've read on this board.I probably should stop reading him!Did anyone here have doubts up to the day of filing? We know we basically have no alternatives the debt is just to high to pay down...

If you aren't sure, get a 3rd party to look over your finances. Seek out a professional Credit Counselor to review your finances and tell you what they think you can and cannot do.
You've got to be comfortable with your decision.

After filing 7 BK ten years ago he provided a plan on not doing stupid things again. While I use credit now, I pay the balances in full each month. I do not know anybody that can afford to pay 20% interest and have any financial peace.
There are other options than BK, but sometime that is the only option. BK is not an option unless you change your saving and spending habits.
Thanks,

Considering that Dave has filed BK in the past, you'd think he'd be sympathetic to other going through it. He has many good suggestions for getting and staying out of debt and I tried everything but couldn't get out from under it, and BK was my last hope.
I also contacted one of his consultants to see if they could help me way before I filed BK, but they wanted hundreds of dollars to help me plan a budget. Not exactly what I'd call cost efficient.
