341 done today

Well we had our 341 today. The meeting itself was quick and painless. Getting there was another matter. I am sooo reporting my lawyers when this is all done. After we filed I got the notice from the court and address where meeting is. I asked lawyer if they knew how to get there and they gave me print out sheet. I look when I get home and ct paper and theirs are 2 different places. Call 2x' s about it and even brought in the CT paper to show them. They insist their address is right, going there 20 years, blah blah. Get there this morning and door is locked and no one is there. Call lawyer office and told them to call CT and find out. Low and behold it was the OTHER place the CT sent me. Now we have our 22 month old with us, no stroller (since we had to take the train) and for 1/2 hr are looking for the damn building. This is the downtown area with many court and office buildings. Ask many people, get pointed to wrong places, pass the right place 3 times not knowing it was the place. Thank God the lawyer was late and had informed the court so the meeting was delayed anyway. Baby was an angel. The trustee was making small talk with us about when his kids were the same age. YES!!!!! Another area of concern was our anticiapted tax refund next year. I asked the lawyer and she said its not an issue. Nice to hear but not sure how much stock I put on anything coming from them. But the trustee didn't bring it up so.....

Sounds like these were preferential transfers. Since it didn't come up it probably won't matter, but if you paid $1500 to your friend which is what it sounds like you did you made a preferential payment of more then $600 to an insider. Was this after you filed? If so then it probably won't matter.

yes they were. $1000 over 3 months. I took the $500 out a month but some of that was also food/house money. When she gave me the money I expected my case to be filed but wasn't till after my 3rd payment to her. I knew about preferential payments and planned the payback timeline so as to not interfere with the case but of course the lawyer threw a wrench in that by taking so long to file! Not totally honest but I didnt plan it that way and would have explained if asked and I wasn't.

OH yeah!! That is wonderful, Tommorrow is my big day, I will let you know how it goes with my 2yr. old but I am ready I just want to it to be over!! Im sorry it took you awhile to get there but at least now you can sit back and relax!!
