    Bank Account Question

OK, here's the story in a nutshell. I have decided to file BK - but haven't chosen whether or not to do C7 or C13 yet. I currently am about 55k in debt, with approx. 33k in unsecured debt and 22k in debt for student loans and income taxes. For one of the unsecured creditors I am currently making a payment of $300 per month to them using a direct bank withdrawl agreement. I was told not to pay any unsecured creditors anything within 90 days of filing BK. How should I go about getting this payment cut off? Should I just close my account which might look suspicious to a trustee or is there some way my bank can intercede and put a hold on this creditor's ability to tap my account? I am afraid if I contact this creditor directly (a Collection Agency) and tell them that I am filing bankruptcy and I can't pay them they might raid my account in fear of losing the ability to get money from me. PLEASE HELP!!!

Send a letter certified mail to the comapny telling them to stop further withdrawls from your bank account. In your agreement, there should be guidelines for stop automatic payments. And as last ditch effort, close that account and immediately open a new account at the same bank. They can't do a withdrawl if that account is closed.
