I have a bank account that electronically deposits my SSD benefit check in it. How much notice(if any) does a credit card company give before trying to put a freeze on a bank account? Thanks for reading my post. :-)
Before they can seize funds in the bank, they usually have to sue you first, get a judgment, and then execute a writ of garnishments. If you haven't been sued yet, you should be fine. (however, the exact mechanics of how it works will depend on your state law)
Alos, SSD money is exempt from collection, so even if they got it, you can, more than likely, force them to give it back.
