Last summer while trying to save my house, I turned desperate and took out 2 STUPID payday loans! I am SO ashamed of myself for doing it!! The amounts were only for $250 & $300 as that was all they could give me then (thank God it wasnt more). Long story short, I made a few deferrment payments (which is what they want you to do..they make a ton more money that way, I've found!) and then my bank account went into overdraft. Everytime they hit my account, it was overdrawn..so, I would get an 'overdraft' fee, then a 'returned item' fee. So..that put the end to my checking account with that bank!
I spoke with my lawyer's office today..and I have to claim the 2 payday loan balances in my BK petition (of course, now the balances are at $400 & $500 because of their fees!). They asked if I could get the addresses for USFASTCASH & AMERILOAN. I have checked EVERYWHERE on the internet for the addresses..and they are nowhere to be found.
Is there anyway to locate the addresses for these places..or would the phone number suffice with my attorney?
They have already started calling me at work!! I have told them both that I cannot receive calls at work or I could get fired and have offered to give them my cell phone number..but, they wont take it. They tell me to call them. When I try, I get a recording!! It is all very frustrating!
If anyone in this forum ever thinks of taking out a payday loan..PLEASE think again! They are literally LOAN SHARKS and are relentless in calling and harassing you. You end up paying 4 or 5 times the amount you borrowed, if not more.
