Could I go 4 months w/o paying b4 cc goes to collections

Do most cc go to "in house" collections by that time , or are they usually sent to outside agencies by then.

P.S Im talking about cc from 3 to 5k not the little $300 limit cc. Thanks

Generally, most CC will keep the collections in house for about 6 months after first default, give or take.
