Tax Refund

Our 341 is complete. She never said a word about our 2006 tax return at the 341. She already entered no assets on pacer

We had our taxes done today, and we are due a $5000 refund.

What can I expect????

I wonder too, see my post about mine here..large tax return, I got back $5300 back in Feb. Its almost gone from expenses, and we are about to file...Ive got a knot in my tummy. Im going to make some appointments next wek for a few free mettings with various BK lawyers...

Did you file with a lawyer? If so I'd give him/her a call and ask about it. If you filed pro se... I don't know...Did you hear the trustee talking to anyone else about thier returns at the 341?

I did file with a lawyer, and will give him a call -- just wanted to know what everyone else thought. Like to keep the lawyer on his toes!

At the 341, the trustee asked everyone if he had a copy of the most recent tax return -- thats about it. At that time, we had not filed, so the most recent copy we had was 2005, and he had it. He never said a word about 2006.

I'll let you know what the lawyer says. Thanks for the input.

If the trustee entered the notice of no assets in the case, she intends to abandon all your non-exempt property to you (i.e. it's yours, not the estate's). If I'm not mistaken, your property is deemed abandoned to you at the closing of the case or 30 days after the filing of that report, whichever comes first.
