Quiting job to be able to file chapter 7?

    Here's our situation:
We are over the income for filing chapter 7. Our attorney suggested that one of us quit our full-time job and take something part-time for 6 months so we can file Chapter 7. Has anyone ever done this.

    sort of

I was offered a good paying job the day before we went to consult with BK attorney and he advised me not to accept it as it would push us over the Median income, so I didn't take it. I was ready to go back to work though after being a SAHM for 3 years!

I was a SAHM then my husband was laid off about 2 years ago which put us in our current situation. I found a full-time job first then he did. We have two children and are paying about 1200 a month in daycare. We met w/ our attorney and our Chapter 13 repayment would be about $600. So, we would have about the same amount of money if we just did a 7 and I stayed home and not pay the $600 repayment and waited 6 months to file. Since it's taken so dang long to get this far w/ the attorney, we have Household financial taking us to court. So, we either need to file the 13 and then convert to a 7 to stop from having a judgement or garnishment from our paychecks. We are just in a real bind and are running out of time. Any suggestions would so be appreciated. Thank you so much.
