Well, since this is TAX DAY....
Did our taxes this weekend, and happy to see that we SHOULD get a refund of $3300 from feds and $180 from state.
Now, here's where it gets complicated...hubby has an old tax debt (1996) that he's been paying monthly on for several years, that we included in our BK filing (April 7). We just rec'd notice of our 341, which will be June 6. In recent years, our tax refunds have been applied to his tax debt, but since that is included in our BK, I'm wondering if we'll actually receive it this year...
What do you all think?
Of interest, he stopped paying his IRS monthly payments after January. We recently rec'd a Notice of Intent to Levy....atty says not to worry about it...he's "taking care of it".
