Why would they not take you seriously? If you hire a lawyer, all he/she will do in a bk case is council you and have his paralegal fill out your forms. Its not like a criminal case before a judge, where an attorney actually 'represents' you.

You just have to do your homework, and make sure the forms are filled out correctly.
