This could be a long 5 or 6 months and what I'm gathering from speaking with a few lawyers and credit counseling is that they don't know what will happen in my situation.

I do know that to come up with 1st and last months rent and moving expenses to my new job I will eat up my 1st 2 paychecks without even eating.

      Sticky,

I want to thank you for this site. I visited 2 lawyers 1.5 months ago and neither were concerned about future income and your site prepared me for the possibility. Unfortunately I was not prepared earlier so I did some things with my cards to survive which I wouldn't have knowing I'm going to file very soon. Oh well, I'm not out to screw my creditors but I've been laid off so many times in my life I need a break.

Anyways, I am preparing a case just in case my future income becomes a problem. Fortunately, I have the opportunity to be domiciled in New York where the cost of living is enormous and can help with my Chapter 7 filing. After reviewing the cost of living sites on the internet I can certainly show I will have no disposable income based on what I've found and if I somehow am forced into Chapter 13 there won't be much to give to the creditors.

      Thanks,

      Logan
