    Scared - Bank Account

I filed bankruptcy in late December and was discharged on 03/24/05.

I have a major fear of putting money into a checking account. I am so afraid that my paycheck / deposit will be seized by someone wanting my money.

I've still been cashing my checking and keeping the money at home and getting money orders.

When is it safe to keep $1000 in my checking account?
When can I start saving in a savings account? How much is to much to have on hand at this point?
Finally debt free. Chapter 7 is wonderful. A fresh new start.

Has anyone still tried to collect payment form you, since your BK has been discharged? The likilihood of a creditor trying to take money out of your checking account is slim to none! Go ahead and open up a checking/savings account.

Do you have any judgments against you or IRS Liens. If not, you should be fine.

I have no judgements against me. I have no problems with the I.R.S. My entire debt was credit cards.
