I was wondering if trustees actually come to your house to verify assets??? The section where you list items in your home do they come out to verify???

Our paralegal said the Trustee might want to know about your things, but they won't come themselves. They usually send the appropriate professional. Someone who knows about the item(s) the Trustee is interested in. An Art Dealer for works of Art. An Antique Dealer for furniture items.
At that, the paralegal said it's rare that the Trustee even does that. Generally high income filers who might have assets that cannot be covered by Exemptions, or as HHM mentioned, businesses. Chances are good, unless you fall into a high risk category, no one associated with the Trustee will come to your home.Filed Ch 7 - 09/06
