    Whew... that was close!

I live over an hour from BK courthouse, and my job is 2 hrs away.

The clerk said it was okay to mail my documents.
On Monday, I sent them priority mail. I checked the tracking number
yesterday and it said it was "arrived at pick-up point".
I called the courthouse, they said wait another day and check back.
I called USPS and found out that the mail is delivered to the mailroom
of courthouse... that each office sends someone down to pickup their mail.
The receptionist told me it would have been better to send overnight express. So, instead of wasting any time and risking my case being dismissed, I sent everything AGAIN overnight express yesterday.
I checked the tracking, and the express mail was again "arrived at pick-up point".
I called courthouse, they told me that they'd already picked up the mail for the day and it wasn't in the pile of envelopes.
So, I call the courthouse again and the receptionist said I should talk to my case administrator to make some kind of arrangements to submit the documents. She was on lunch break! Left a message.
I called USPS customer service and demanded to know the exact location my package was! LOL
They said the last place they were delivered was to a local processing center near to courthouse. So, I got that number and called them. They said all mail was delivered to courthouse this morning.
I called again to the receptionist and she put me on hold... she comes back and says that my envelopes were there! She said call back in 20 minutes to talk with case admin again to verify that she received them.
In the meantime, I call my husband to tell him about the chaos.... when I notice I have a new voicemail... the case admin saying she'll give me until Monday to submit the docs otherwise my case will be dismissed.
So, I call her back and tell her the receptionist verified that the envelopes were received in their office. It sounded like she was shuffling papers on her desk, then she says 'oh here they are! on my desk!'
    Aaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhh!
I bet that receptionist went and slipped them on her desk before she came back from lunch!
What a mess! I was about to break down and cry!
I don't know what is worse... spending the money I don't have for gas, tolls, and parking to go to courthouse or the stress of wondering where my documents disappeared to!!!

My suggestions are from "personal experience" and research only. Do not consider this as legal advice. Each bankruptcy case is different.
