    getting ready to file

    My husband and I talked to our attorney today and gave him his fee. Man, I hated to part with that. I still have a few more things to get back to them, but by the 22nd or the 23rd we will file. Our next appt is the 22nd at 3:00 and that is when we go over the filling and since it will probably take a couple of hours, it will probably be the 23rd before he files it. Hopefully he can do it on the 22nd.

    We still have not seen our house in the paper yet so that is good news. It will probably be in next weeks paper.

    hi and welcome.....did he mention the pre filing course? the credit counseling?? I had LVNV
    ready to file lawsuit or judgement against me at any moment...I paid the retainer went over the paperwork but had to give him my certificate of credit counseling before he would file..
    I took the 90 min course the evening of june 5, 2007...got the certificate emailed to me, faxed it to him june 5 and he immediately filed the case electronically so I had my case #
    and date filed and bingo the auto stay was immediate.....good luck.......guzzie

      We took the course today when we got home, they will be sending the certificate to the lawyer so we dont have to worry about that. We also will get a certificate in a day or two. So far everything is going good.

      We went and looked at a house today for rent. It is a 3 bedroom 1 bath brick house. The one thing that we are going to have to have is central heat and air. The house that we own right now has window units and wall heat.(gas) Summertime the girls bedrooms stay really warm and in winter they stay pretty cold so we are really adamant about that. We still have a while before we actually have to get out of this house but we are really looking now. We cant do anything until after next payday but hopefully then the house will be ready.

        They will email you something showing that you took the course. I forwarded what they emailed me to the attorney myself....just to be sure they got it. Never depend on anybody else. In fact, it was a good thing I did...they said they never got my husband's test. Good luck! S&T
